Clipping Masks Explained for Album Designers

A clipping mask shows the layer above only where the layer below has pixels. Album templates use this to keep photos inside frames.

To clip, place the photo directly above the frame shape and press Alt+Ctrl+G.

To swap a photo, select the old photo layer, delete it and clip a new one in the same position.

If a photo disappears, check that it sits immediately above the mask layer in the Layers panel.
